It has been a long journey with me and this blog space --- we've been together for about 3 1/2 years. Started this space as i have been pushed by a good friend and a talented photographer herself Ms J, and indeed it helped me grow and made me better in this field of passion that i regard so much. On the side, i gain great friends, may not have officially met them personally (some though) but i felt their sincerity and with that been said I am very grateful.

Now changes needed to be done, time to move on, a better and viewer friendly space for me to share the pursuit that i love so dearly...

Yes, my new blogsite is officially live HERE.

I hope you can be part of this new journey of mine, as you have been supportive from the start of this one that i am closing.

This is Mommy K, very grateful and glad to be able to pamper her dream maternity shoot. It was chaotic at first, a lot of dilemna, difficulty, and decision making few days before the scheduled project ... but ALAS, we hurdle the obstales and finally made it a reality.

Should be doing some yearly mandatory competency skills for my day job online, or should i say start catching up while I am off work {since the past few nights at the birchland work has been pretty crazy, obviously those required annual competencies were not an option}... but instead I am digressing doing some photography related tasks.

I have to get back on track, gotta FOCUS, *phew*... Okay, I will start doing them --- soon, *sigh*.

Wine and Bottle

My Oh My... I am still not quite done sharing our north california trip few weeks past... couple more to go --- i think *not sure*.
What's for sure though other than tasting wines was we get to see the real beauty of nature while driving getting to and from different vineyards.

On the road to California's wine country... Sonoma and Napa Valley California [Destination #4]...

We are not really a wine drinker, but definitely when it comes to dessert wine we are totally an aficionado.

Was happy we get to take home 2 bottles of fine dessert wine, after few tasting... cannot wait for the next party to open these bottles, or maybe we don't need to wait, *wink*.

Next Stop [Destination #3]: Alamo Square San Francisco, California

Out of the photographic bouts we had in northern cali, this probably is the only landmark that we had a few family photos taken.

Everyone were walking their dogs, from small to enormous in size... couple huge dogs where getting in the way of our self timer shoots behind the scene --- we almost peed our pants everytime we are on the ground ready for the timer to click away and all of a sudden these dogs starts sniffing in our gears, "oh please, do your thing on the bushes over there" ... so we didn't get much of the beautiful victorian background scenery, *sigh*.

Though limited capability in getting better family shots {by the way, we miss to bring at least one of our tripod in this trip too, duh}, still grateful we captured a few.

Catching UP

It's my first blog entry from our mini vacay in Northern Cali. I figure out i need to start sharing them before i won't have that freebie time and before it starts to fade from my precarious forgetful mind set... brought about by old age? I hate to admit but i am feeling it terribly, so better yet concede with reality, *sigh*.

Everytime we drive up north especially in bay area, we {family} try to make things sure we get enough time to see friends and family and catch up - especially if it takes us 7-8hrs on the road to get up there anyway... might as well right.

About 2 years ago, we visited a good friend L and seems like it became the family's ritual to see them. This visit was more exciting because my family can finally meet their fun, loving, and smart baby L who happens to be growing up pretty fast. The last visit we had mommy L was barely pregnant, now the family's getting bigger in the presence of their son.

We were able to meet mommy L's Ate L too (older sister) and her baby who happens to be newborn then... and now baby N's sweet charisma for sure will allure everyone --- even my camera.

It was absolutely nice catching up with them, though cut short because of our limited time... we are still very grateful for gracing and welcoming us into their warm and humble home --- and by the way, dinner was awesome, and thank you for letting us discover "pinakurat" vinegar, it's definitely written in my next grocery list to oriental market. I am very glad to maintain that great friendship with L and family. Looking forward for another family meeting.

Everyday we face different challenges, i personally have to admit it's so hard to get out of my box --- i need to be in control... but life most of the time is not, it throws you off to life's chaotic world. It is up to us this time to work around it.

Just sharing my prayer when i get up in the morning, right before work begins, and before retiring to bed...

Digital Days Photo Workshop - San Diego 2011

As promised here are some details on the recent photo workshop that hubby and i just attended ...
sorry for the late entry...

There were about 80 participants that weekend, and mostly men... and somewhat mature in age...

The place where they held the workshop is awesomely refreshing and simple yet quaint business gathering place... I even didn't realize there is such a paradise spa resort in our neighborhood.
Go check out Rancho Bernardo Inn Resort and Spa if you happen to visit north inland San Diego.

More of overwhelming at first because the participants appear to be super professional just watching the kind of gadgets they're using.

Of course, the famous Andy Katz in person as the guest speaker who have published several books already ... who get down and dirty, pushing us to get better with every photos. So thrilled he commented on this specific photo of mine: "I nailed it good" --- and all this big giant photographers hovering over me wondering what was my setting *blushing* ... i just wish i got his autograph that day, but too much was going on... ah well, maybe next time.

And here we are, tired but our hearts were full and happy ♥

Been stuck at home this weekend because of non-stop rain ... not our original plan *sigh* --- but what can we do.

So, i told my girls --- count on me, mommy will still make our weekend a blast.
Here's our weekend routine: movie marathon, eat until we drop, play video games intermittently with DS and Wii {mom occassionally sneaks in the computer room - blog and FB stalking, tweeting, LOL}, then occassionally clicking away, and more laughters were made... and the cycle keeps repeating again and again.

Sorry, Ate L is not in photo ... got a stomach bug the past two days, but for sure she's a lot better and enjoying the weekend.

First Timer

So much first time happened and going to happen --- overwhelming yet full of excitement, passion and cheerfulness...

... Ate L learned to roller skates in 2 days time.

... I myself stepped on my own roller skates {i know, call me late bloomer} and working on learning --- I am not that young so I am taking my time *grin*.

... Ate L finally got her dream pet fish.

... Hubby and I are going to attend a photography workshop from Digital Days {advertised in Popular Photography magazine} in the coming weeks, *happy yipee yeheyyy*.

... The covered strawberry chocolate posted in this blog is my first finish product --- and it didn't fail me and ate L's guest from her birthday party was loving it, *so proud on this one*.

... So looking forward to working out at least 3x per week, never been this enthusiastic before.

... Hubby will get his first mountain bike this week --- his long time wish, now that his birthday is coming up soon might as well make his wish be granted.

Our Little Scientist

Scientific exploration of the week: play dough and ear plug... Same or different???

Ate L: Dad, there's something wrong in my left ear, I feel like there is a big 'booger' in there. (excuse us for the terminology)

Dad D inspecting it with flashlight... Daddy D checking, unsure, skeptical --- hmmm, doesn't look like a booger at all, there's a color like purple... crayon?

Ate L: Oh yeah, i placed a play dough sometime last week, needed an ear plug.

Daddy D now looking furious.

Little M to her ate L: uh ow, we're in trouble.

Right then and there my phone rang (of course mommy's working hard... in the middle of admission)... and all i hear on the other line is a frantic dad who i can described like a dragon with fumes coming out in his nose, ears, and mouth.

Urgent care here we come early in the morning. Too much to handle, fairly deep... Time to go to ER, now waiting until my 6 almost 7 yr old comes out from conscious sedation in Children Hospital... Of course that didn't work either, gotta go to the specialist this time and its already getting late in the afternoon... And obviously it has to happen in the middle of my work nights. Finally purple color pellet size hardened play dough came out --- our Ate L came home tired and sleepy (poor thing) with cotton ball plug on her left ear and an antibiotic prescription.

Mommy: Do you want to place another play dough on the right ear this time?

Ate L: NOOOO (looking very scared)

Lesson of the week: play dough can't be used as ear plug... Leave it there couple of hours, it's going to really plug your ears for good, rather temporarily until you find the right gadget and expert person to get it out.

Kids 'do' the darnest thing yet it's highly detrimental and damaging not only to them but to the parents and entire household as well.

All play dough at home headed to the trash... all gone.

They are so naive, carefree, and lighthearted. How i wish we can all just get back or at least hold a few of their buoyancy --- these world will be a better place to live in.

What do you call a person who is not happy if your life is full of felicity? Or constantly give pertinent advices if you’re in trouble (which I am grateful), but if you succeed in life you’ll never hear anything from them again (not that I wanted to be recognized and be praised but it's the thought that they are with you celebrating your joys and happiness). Do they have personality issue if they complain how bad life is treating them… but if you look at the big picture they just want you to wallow in self pity along with them? Is there really such a person who cannot be simply happy for you? Is this a disorder?

And the hard part of it, this person is close to me… and it does affect me in someway, it makes me feel sad for them =(

Not that I am wallowing in self pity with them (coz it‘s kinda annoying most of the time), but I am sad they have to go to this… I wish they can just be truly happy with life --- not just the constant verbiage messages in a social networking site how religious they are and appreciative of Gods love (it’s like they want to convince the world … where in I personally feel, they just want to convince themselves) . I know my constant beliefs in God but I don’t need to parade it to everyone else --- it’s between God and me (isn’t that how it should be?).

With all have been said, seeing-feeling-witnessing them treat you unabashedly and bluntly in a subtle way (or without malice maybe they’re just unaware of their doing)… that in itself makes me feel sick.

From the bottom of my heart, I wish them well and still hopeful that life will truly give them the real meaning of happiness and peace of mind they need.

And to everyone reading this entry… the world is constantly moving and changing, we have to move on and grasp whatever it offers. Short but sweet --- Let us all get a Life!!!

Raise our Glass for Year 2011

As I keep saying it every year, I don't do new years resolution well... I would like to put it up as wishes and goals for the coming year.

I would like to enjoy and wish not to feel worn out as an RN helping mommies deliver their babies safely... I solely would like to keep loving what i love doing --- I am happy for where I am now, I would be happier if i get to work during daytime *day shift please come by sometime soon*

To get deeper into my other love - working behind the lens... it could be acquiring broad knowledge combined with a serious application to the said attachment.

For my family to stay healthy, contented, and always in high spirits.

More family reunions, travels, and simply some extra time catching up with relatives and friends all over the world.

And for God Almighty to carry on pouring His utmost love and blessings with the added bonus of continual guidance for me and my family in this sometimes unbalance world.

On the Holiday: Farewell 2010 Welcome 2011

It's been a big adjustment 2010 for all of us.

Since we moved here in southern Cali city of SD the end of 2009... A lot effort were poured mostly on work adaptation, locale setting orientation, and getting to know new and true friends.

With the holiday season in the air, I felt like we are always on the run... thankfully i got all the cards/gifts mailed and send out on time. And now i thought my family can enjoy the festivities in passive pace with the coming holiday events with my Ate L off school for couple of weeks for the winter holiday --- but of course NO, my little M and now ate L is sick combined with the awful weather in supposedly sunny side of Cali, rain had been pouring hard flooding some area in SD... so here we are end up being glued at home.

With all the fleeting griping we are still truly grateful for year 2010... It did brought us different lessons to learn and looking at life differently.
We welcome year 2011 with utmost positive vibes: looking forward for more quality family bonding time together, bountiful blessings, and absolutely good health --- and with this have said I would like to share those wishes to my dear family and friends all over the world.

Here's wishing you a Blessed Christmas and Peaceful New Year from our home to yours!

I was about to get a quick nap before nocturnal shift starts ... but here I am taking photography to a different realm... sorry, no lifestyle photography in this entry *wink*.

I came across this video this morning and cannot get over it until i have to try it. Thank you for the inspiration "photogavin".

I tweaked a few, but the basic tutorial i have taken seriously. Just a few notes...
---> I think this just work on black bucket/tray (i tried different color of tray, did not work well).
---> Placing hole in the plastic is kind of tricky, i mean very tricky (i probably used 2-3 bags to come up almost steady drops of water).
---> I totally used a different specs in manual mode.
---> I think this project will work great with a macro lens.

Anyway, here is my own version... not quite as great with other shots but i think it's not too shabby.

This is just one of my favorite... will post more next time, i have to get ready for work.

It's been a hectic weeks...

Getting ready for lots of holidays and events before this 2010 ends: one down [halloween], few more to go --- thanksgiving, christmas, new year, class reunions, anniversaries, etc, etc, etc. Non-stop bookings and the calendar is full of reminders [hopeful it will take place in a timely manner].

For now, let me share you Ate L and mines 'Shoot You Shoot Me' episode... our bonding moment other than theme parks, chuckie cheeses, and/or shopping ♥

Ate L's Turn

Shoot You Shoot Me --- is one strategy that Life+Style Photography encorporates, especially when it comes to children as a subject. We all know at this age, they don't have enough patience to hold a shoot and pose in front of a camera. So, this i use as a bargaining technique, i/the photographer will pose and let you/child be behind the lens, and there after i do the same with you --- basically taking turns ... for me, photos comes out much fun.

A homemade filipino dish with rice.

A movie night with girls passed out in bed.

A glass of moscato desert wine especially after a hard days work.

An iphone wherever i go.

A great conversation with real true friends ... even if it's simple quick catching up.

A day shift work.

A wide angle fast glass/lens ... and an external flash for indoor or night shooting people.

A lifestyle + portrait photography.

A dark truffle chocolate.

Celebrating Christmas holiday.

A prayer before going to bed and before heading for work.

A rosary in the car.

How do you manage life's complexities?

There are dilemnas in your life that is too much to handle. How you wish it's just easy as one, two, three or turn a switch on and off when you get to the point that makes it too much to carry on. When do you say stop or enough and proceed without disdain and uncertainty? How do you come to a conclusion without sparing some feeling of loss and agitation? You wish someone can just find you and be done and over with.

Decision that is too much to deal with... how do you come up with it???

I had the opportunity to photograph a great mother of soon to be five. Her motherly instinct drove her to freeze the moment, knowing that she and her husband decided this will be their last.

Yes, it's all about her this time --- "Me, My body, and My pregnancy"... Being a woman, simple yet sweet and loving, "S" as a doting mother and a loving wife just want these milestone be seized and captured for her to hold in a lifetime.

... now, is that too much to ask?

Patience indeed is a great virtue that each and everyone of us should learn and must have... Though easy for me to say, i did learn from it these past few days. It's truly a difficult routine for me to break in my end knowing myself to be very impatient almost at all time.

*** Frenzied mode, i haven't done anything for my little girl's planned birthday party ... tick-tock-tick-tock, four weeks to go --- was thankful enough though i was able to pull out a quick shoot despite her being terribly uninterested and nonchalant --- I just gotta love her ♥

Growing Up

My Ate L obviously has grown.

Dropped her off to school today, hang-out a little bit while waiting in line awaiting for their teacher. Asked her if she wants me to wait until they can get in their respective room... guess what her answer was "You can go now mom".

I do dread these kind of life's synopsis, but for sure i cannot stop them from growing. They'll be in their own journey that me as a parent cannot cease to control.

Relearn and Reset

Trying to get back to the old routines after a three week short vacation in the Philippines, kinda tough but workable. The most challenging part of the said transition is my full time work outside the home and getting my bill pay back to it's original schedule. I am struggling to organize which ones due first and such, and work it's been intensely wild since i got back, it's literally like a madhouse everytime i come to work... Oh yeah, the winter holiday fertilized babies, here they come!

Unsettling scenario at the moment keeps my time off blogging, photoshopping, and uploading recent photos. Hopefully soon i can get back to them... in due time.

Our somewhat random surprise trip to the Philippines is about to end... and we don't want it to end obviously but for sure we had a lot of fun, excitement, and memories to hold especially the girls --- meeting family ancestries, taken back to places that we were raised and born, and even to the extent of speaking the tagalog/filipino dialect... they sound funny though.

There are more stories to tell, a lot of catching up to do... but for now let me and my family enjoy the few days left in the island of Philippines.

Feel Better Baby

It is probably in the air.

My baby M started to feel warm yesterday afternoon. Though she was and occassionally is a bit perky - her normal self, yet you still cannot avoid that mother instinct in me. She did not like much food last night, but i figure out let her stomach rest {she already vomitted once}. Today, I am still giving her rounds of fever reducing medicine. I am so hopeful this is nothing serious --- some viral bug maybe that will subside in couple of days *cross my finger*.

Worrisome because i have another child at home {been spraying lysol disinfectant}, and also we have big plans for the weekend *sigh*.

Feel better soon BaBa *hugs and kisses*.

How i wish people can appreciate life better...

In this world, i believe it isn't just money that makes the world go round... I know how it feels like when you are trying to stretch your paycheck to survive. Born and raised in a third world country, i was not an exception. But seeing these people getting upset because of monetary reason, premeditate useless sickening escalating emotions to your dear ones, that in itself is not fair and not worth it... If they only knew how lucky they are.

Pardon me, I know i sound despicable... just let me be for today.

It's been crazy in my household recently...

Summer plans is definitely on the way, last minute details still on the process.

I miss my normal routines:
Cooking/baking - we've been pigging out lately
Working out - need to get back in tune seriously
Upload photos - i have tons of photos taken, they just might end up pretty late entries
Late watching movie nights/my teleserye (filipino soap-opera) - thanks for DVR, hopefully i can get back with them someday

We had a quick visit with the famous Balboa Park here in San Diego.

It's a huge park feauturing mostly historical museums and it's collections from art to science, it has everything... of course i have to get into their photography locale.

They feature oldies rock n roll bands and singers that day we visited like the beatles, elvis presley, etc. What i noticed mostly on that wall was a presentation of black and whites portraits. It dawn on me that you don't need to have photoshop to capture a real creation that communicates to the senses and minds... Of course i get the idea of different processing but what I mean is, portraits doesn't need to be always flawless at all to be beautiful --- although, i would like my own self portrait smooth, spotless, and immaculate *big laugh*. I am not sure why i appreciated it so much, those rigid lines in their faces {maybe because the photos were all blown up, not sure}. The expression is absolutely phenomenal even without a smile in those faces. I guess that is what you call a true work of art.

My cousin C is having a baby... and everyone is excited...

She is the baby of our family batch of generation. I can vividly recall back then during summer break when the whole family hangs-out in our little town for a vacation, she's always been asked to do little errands like: "beng, can you get this and that... can you baby sit so and so..." just because she is the 'bunsoy' [youngest] --- and she never complains... maybe a little whining *kidding*.

Nah, she is a good girl + smart and pretty combo to be exact. I always admire her for being a tough cookie, feet always on the ground, and manage to handle any situations with grace. She always has a great fashion statement too, and carry it well --- she may not know it but i always look forward to see what's hip and hot in the fashion world through her.

She loves and protects her family like an eagle that watches it's prey. Nevertheles, she is very sweet. She is an ultimate lovable member of the clan.

Now that she is having her first, and I know that she will be a great mom. I sincerely wish her all the happiness this world can give, because she deserves it.

I am so proud of you C... Be safe always!

I have noticed my girls are getting more independent with their style of clothing. More so for a fact that they want what the other one is wearing.

Ate L: Baby M is wearing a "turn around skirt", I want to wear one.
{girls vocabulary --- turn-around skirt: skirt that opens wide when they turn around}

or

Baby M: Ate L is wearing a necklace, i want to wear mine too.

Uncompromised fashion is one of my pet peeves. Not that i am fashionista myself, i am totally not. Clothing for me doesn't need to be branded, I go with quality... in short i go with clothes that last longer --- not those type that after couple washes it's color turns pale or it went two sizes down or even more. I feel akward when i see somebody wearing mismatched clothing or totally out of the curve. I believe you can wear whatever fashion you want as long as you carry them well.

We have a lot to be thankful for, and we should continue to be appreciative... being so makes your life more meaningful.

Family gathering truly constitute a light feeling of hominess...

Couple of weekend back was spent with the T/G family, celebrating Tita C and Cousin F's birthdays --- mother and daughter tandem. Day after that {Monday} spent with the V family at Lego Water Park... it was nephew D's 6th birthday.

Even if those times were cut short due to work schedules, it was fun catching up.

Good friend couple M and P of This is IT Photography pays us a visit and stayed in our humble home. Even if their primary purpose coming down in SD was to cover a wedding event, the non-working times spent with us were full of craziness and laughter. True great friends when put together = awesomeness!!!... "We miss you guys... the girls woke up that evening you left looking for you by the way".

Was able to spent father's day as one family... for hubby and my set up, working full time opposite days, spending a "day off" together is surely a big deal.

I am glad I am back using our kitchen ... new dishwasher baby. We seldom use our dishwasher anyway, but when it broke down i felt the importance of it especially those days that i have piled up dishes and no time to manually wash them.

It's been a long battle for ages. You continually search for answers tried different approach and still you fail. How come these treacherous pounds of calories continue to stubbornly cling and wont let go despite the rigid effort of dieting and exercising. I am speaking for the entire universe who one way or another share the same agony and struggles.

Sometimes you wonder, when we were younger just a couple days of running a mile or two, then you loose it. Or simply an asian gal like me who loves her rice, skip it for a week and will shed off 5-8lbs that easy... Okay, let us picture the scenario here --- YOUNGER is the key word. I have to admit, this age system is seriously catching up with me.

School Ender Fun

Another school year had ended... but holds a lot of beautiful memories...

Even if Ate L didn't get to start the beginning of school year in Chaparral Elementary she still manage to gain new sets of great friends and adjusted pretty well with the new school environment. Needless to say, she truly enjoyed her Kindergarten year with Mrs S and plan to return this upcoming school year.

I have to admit I've never been an active parent in Ate L's class, and I sincerely apologize --- our family being new in town, a full time mother and employee our schedule was and still isn't easy. But with the year ender school activity --- Park Fun, I finally did manage to participate and was very glad to be there. In addition to that, I got lucky to capture the moments of fun with the kids.

Mommies enjoyed and had fun too...

It is indeed a memory that my daughter will absolutely cherish.

I am so glad I've met M through common friends here in the blog world. I probably did a blog on her few months back but i cannot help bragging how wonderful person she is. Other than she is always responsible in making the face of my website blog up to date and simply stylish, but sincerely I can't help being proud to have found a friend who is genuinely beautiful in and out.

I feel like there is a connection between us that lead me to believe that i totally can relate with her {not because i am beautiful}, but more so because we are to some extent in the same page: we are professionally in a medical industry, we both love obviously 'photography', she have two boys I have two girls, perfectionist on the good side and I am somewhat likely one --- or maybe I am more on the OC side *grin*.

To add it up, she continues to inspire me --- and I am sure it's not just only me. I am looking forward always to all her blog entries, her new daily achievements and long term enterprises, and of course her awesome and shabby chic work of art in photography.

How do you control privacy?

I have had a lot of invites to add them as my friend in my FB {facebook} and Twitter account. I always cringe everytime i receive one especially those i totally and honestly don't know... but by the time i hit the ignore button then i feel somewhat guilty since some of them just wanted to see my love in photography {i received personal messages} --- unless if I am just totally naive.

Just a quick what about this past week...

Had a taste of Day shift since we moved out here in SD this past week for 2 days... and I am so loving it, I missed the normal ME --- I am totally a day person. Next week, back to the dreaded NOC shift *sigh*.

Allergy flare up for Ate L, she is back on prednisone {steroids}. We definitely need an allergist soon... I am just wondering how's the medical turnover here in SD.

It's been approximately 3 weeks from Baby M's mishap/accident and noticed she is scarring that cut under her lower lip... where can i find "cebo de macho" here? Any take/suggestion?

Hubby's working the whole weekend --- been doing household chores {neverending laundry} and been cooking more recently {filipno beef steak for dinner, tomorrow hmmm... maybe some tempura vegetables and fried rabbit fish "danggit" with matching halfway unripe mango + sweet shrimp paste "bagoong"}.

Part 3/3 of the Girls seasonal photoshoot...

What really brought me from getting my girls to have another session {other than to capture in prints their milestone} was because of Ate L's schedule teeth extraction soon. So far with the plan, Ate L is doing alright and excited for the toothfairy to come there after. But I think it's the mother instinct in me that worry because the dentist said she has two huge teeth coming out and even pulling two will still have no enough room... in short my daughter will constitute to have a messed up teeth.

I am just hoping despite me anticipating her soon despicable teeth set up she will still give me that natural and lovely smile she already have.

Fun Facts of Ate L and Baby M:

Their favorite meal = rice + spam + egg {scramble or just the egg white part if done sunny side up}.
They love nickjr and sprout channel.
As long as there is cheese pizza if we happen to dine out, we're good to go.
They both love color pink --- definitely they're my girls.
Neverending collections of stuff toys, and sleeps with all of them --- if they happen to jump in our bed... holy cow we're like sardines pact in our king size bed.
They are both technically savvy, even Baby M at 2 1/2 yrs old can operate the iphone with ease {one time she asked me what's the spelling of mickey mouse, glance what she was doing... she tried to enter in the phones You Tube apps and search for mickey mouse videos}.

I know, I know... Hub and I cannot believe they have grown... they were just babies, and now they are sprightly growing.

Enlighten me here... Call me selfish and inconsiderate but I am seriously annoyed hearing about it.

Scenario

"Child A in his/her adult mind set ask a second generation family member who is Child B if they can ASK (like a piece of candy type asking) a little portion of Child B's parents land because child A is planning to sell his/her parents property [house and lot]. For what reason, it was not divulge... although Child B's family already has some innuendo on the matter... In lieu with Child A's scheme, Child A is just VERY concern of his/her parents who is going to be homeless after the whole ordeal. Now the question is, why does child B's family be shouldering child A's parents predicament after child A's decision? Was it Child B's choice to make Child A's parents alone and estranged? For that matter whatever brought Child A's arbitration in selling his/her parents property, maybe valid or not ... why does Child B's family suffer and be the solution/fixer? Was it Child B's accord to strip Child A's parents from their home?"

What the heck happen to the world??? Where is the logic???

Someone has to help me fathom the point here... maybe i can understand better.

{Just my two cents and thought on this matter, if desperately needed to sell Child A's parents property, why can't the family of child A spare a portion of child A's parents land for them to live in. Why take/beg/ask someone elses property?}

Spring Break

It's been a busy week for the entire Family household {probably every family did the same} because of the annual spring break...

Theme parks were pretty full --- revisited Legoland... the girls had so much fun especially in the "Pirate Shores: Swabbies Deck" {can't wait for their water park opening on June this year}, thank you for what you call annual pass with local discount.

V Family came for a visit last sunday for Easter celebration, and repeated fun yesterday friday for Whale Watching adventure aboard Hornblower Cruise. Didn't have a close view of the whales, but the dolphins were awesome. The not so awesome/awful part of the said trip was the unending/countless vomitting brought about by sea sickness *barf/puke/gag*.

Simply being lazy at home... girls watching cartoons all day and night, outdoor hiking/biking, eating almost everything including junk {actually more junk/carb if i have to count}, girl bonding --- shopping, learning nail polish designing/painting, etc.

Indeed it's a break that the whole family truly enjoyed ♥

I haven't done photo sessions recently. I have to admit i turn down two possible clients. I am totally scared and not ready to venture here in California --- I even still use my GPS to get from point A to B at times. I still want to discover the vicinity and locations, the weather, the driving, where the sun rises and sets, the nooks and crooks of SD, and so on and so forth.
Secondly, my hub and my schedules are not quite stable yet. If i decided to venture in full gear, i needed that time --- not just for photo session itself but for pre-shoot planning, post processing, proofing, printing and ordering, etc.

Rest assure, when that time comes... when everything is on it's right places... i surely will --- For now, let me just enjoy San Diego's beautiful places to visit ♥

Hard to admit but it's true, I am a control geek individual.

I get stress when situations are pushing me to wander to a different direction. I love to have that sense of jurisdiction in most circumstances. I find myself stronger and calm when i have that containment and mastery. This applied specifically when it comes to my family and work.

I know life can't be all planned and flawless. There's glitches and imperfections along the way, and i think this is where I have to learn and regroup.

"Yesterday was the worst. Everything was falling apart. It started with crazy/quick/maybe somewhat nasty delivery at work {if only my room is set to go and my fetus is behaving, hey i am good to go myself}. Then because i was running late from work, the traffic meets me with open arms --- just imagine i haven't had sleep and i am driving?!?! i was probably on the road for almost 2hours. Worst the GPS that i was using brought me to the wrong place --- i was about to throw it out, seriously. Got home unsure if a man with a blue coat is following me since i was driving like a maniac on the road, i kept looking at my side mirror the whole time by the way. Then attempting to get a sleep while the girls are squeeking/giggling in front of the TV... The pleasant piece that day/night was work call me and put me On Call last night and didn't call me in --- an angel was still watching over me. Praise the Lord! "

Here are some of the schemes hub and i talked:

☀ Find a person that can come to our house and watch our girls when situation arises like yesterday and the next coming days/nights, {i cannot do it, i can't contain guilt free exiting and just watch them scream my name everytime i leave them behind a daycare}

☀ To ultimately get a daytime shift position soon or maybe bring my current position down to part time for now while awaits an available spot.

Thank you to all the students who auditioned for character parts for our spring show. And thank you for your patience while we decided on parts. We needed to hear a few girls for a second time this morning before we could make final decisions. The audition panel heard so many beautiful voices last week and it always makes these decisions tough. Students who auditioned had to sing and say their memorized part. Students were chosen based on singing on pitch, enthusiasm, volume, and diction when speaking. If your child has a character part, I need them to memorize their lines ASAP so we can start rehearsing with the choir. Lines are attached.

Knowing our Ate L {shy, quiet, and reserve} we didn't expect her to try it out... Since she wanted to, we let her audition.
{I was even teary eyed when she bravely stood in the middle, took the microphone, and perform in front of the audition panel}.
We just hope she'll do well on the actual show, not to be frighten if she'll see the bigger venue with a bigger crowd.
By the way, this is their elementary schools annual big event - participants are Kindergatener to 2nd grader.

Our designers portfolio at home is geared mostly towards Contemporary/Traditional and somewhat Eclectic Design. I personally was addicted formerly with modern design when i was single. Having a family and kids changes my outlook --- we are looking away from the sharp/pointy corner of modern... now i/we {hub and i} want a house that's homey, full of tranquility, but not too boring.

Our dream home is tailor more casual, cozy, a little bit sophisticated but inviting. Someday, we can get every corner of our house patterned to the space we dreamed of... in due time.

A Cry for Sanity

In a period of time i find it disturbing and self torture. The freedom is just in your hand but not really. You want to break loose and so be the life you want to be but you canNOT... in the end you waddle in misery and desolation.

This has been going on almost 2 months since i've been back working --- the dreaded night shift. I am happy with what I am doing... I mean seriously. I am getting the hang of the people around me, got the routine almost completely BUT getting up to get ready for work is the worst nightmare. {Kuddos to the staff who's been doing it forever, I don't know how you can do it}.

These are the typical scenario in my household right before going to work:

Baby M: "I want you Mommy"... or "I love you Mommy"... or "Work again?" {By the way this is my 2 yr old daughter}

Ate L: "Why do you always go to work at night?"... or "Are you working tomorrow, how about the next day?"... or "I don't want you to go mommy"... or "I want to sleep with you tonight"... or "I am going to miss you mommy, don't leave".

{The first few weeks starting working nights my older daughter was crying because she misses me a lot... I felt like someone just stabbed me right then and there}.

Why did i become a mother then? Why bother have a family and breaks their heart everytime i come to work? Even if I tried to make up to those days/nights during my off days it still doesn't suffice the anguish i created.

Yes, I am very thankful for this job that i have learn to love but is it worth it?... Another concern is it scares me if situation comes and I need to give up if opportunity knocks somewhere else *sad*. Dilemma is what i'll be facing, and I don't want to choose *big sigh*. But why does it have to be difficult?

I am hanging on right now... still hoping for a spot that will open soon {I don't even care if it's not full time, i'll take whatever... just want to get off this dusky withching hours}... My biggest question is, how long can i hang on?

The sky is very gloomy, full of dark clouds ☁. It is supposedly my weekend off and I'd like to spend outdoor with my family --- Not anymore I guess.

Come to find out per weather forecast, rain is possibly going to come too ☂... the rest of the weekend. This weather change alters my plan bigtime, *sad*.

Safety is a priority for me and my family, that's number one in my list that makes me high in spirits.

Second to that, to keep my family healthy {it breaks my heart especially if my girls have the sniffles and can't sleep at night, keep tossing in their bed back and forth, and end up cranky the next few days... both my girls are on cough medicine currently and my Baby M is starting again on her antibiotic course *sigh*}

Holding my camera and simply be just behind the lens and be myself with no hesitation.

Tweaking my photos in photoshop {it took me awhile to get the hang of it, if i can recall i hate photoshopping so much... i guess now that i understand the process somewhat if i look on a certain photo it brings me to a realm of ideas and possibilities that i can be the soul painter of my own special photos ♥ it makes me feel good}

Calm days at work... or if it's crazy, a unit that portrays a great team player, helpful, understanding, and just naturally being nice with each other.

Be able to get a day shift position at work.

My girls to excel and enjoy in whatever endeavor they want to.

Well kept and organized home {can't quite control this part yet... with two little ones --- impossible}

Food... filipino meal especially breakfast portion, chinese entree, american breakfast, and occassional italian cuisine.

A good restful sleep.

A loving and caring relationship with hubby and family {or even just patching misunderstandings forthwith/ontime} --- despite the hectic family/work schedule we have, as long as we have each other, I am blessed already.

Be able to visit my family back home, Philippines.

Watching TFC [The Filipino Channel].

Travel, vacation, and dining out with family and wonderful true friends.

Cough syrup is overflowing in my household.

We need some color and some sunshine... my family is running down with cough this past few days. The weather changed probably caught us off guard.

I can't believe our water bill is ginormous knowing that it's been raining this past weeks {more than our gas and energy bill together}... Come to find out the sprinkler is set still for summer season {one division is set at 30mins --- i am just wondering how many gallons of water wasted}.

Our insurance mess up our primary care physicians, so we're starting all over again. Hope we won't need a doctors appointment anytime soon.

Life maybe colorless recently but forsee a turn around in the next few days... I believe and looking forward.

I am Back

I need to get my life back...

Since I started working night shift, I've been cranky, my patience been short, and very moody. It's probably brought about {drum roll} ... Lack of Sleep. I am not a night person, after getting off working nights 12hr shift i normally will sleep 3-4hrs and I am done. Even if i tried to sulk myself under the soft egyptian cotton bed cover, or tried the lavender scented oil under my pillow, or get a warm bath --- nothing works.

Just last week, hubby and I enrolled back in a gym - 24HR Fitness. The last time we did it was before we had our Ate L, about almost 6 years ago. So, here are my progress.

Night 1 - slept for 5hrs
Night 2 - slept for 7hrs
Night 3 [off day] - slept for 5hrs and slept the rest of the night.
I am able to play and enjoy each day with the girls despite me working those nights and even in the work place i am productive {though it was really a crazy week, i feel like i am on a marathon from back to back deliveries}, I had the energy to beat it.

Something is working well here so far. I am hoping this will continue. Indeed exercise is a mood regulator.

I go to the gym not because i wanted to loose weight or be buffed up/sculpting every inch of my muscle {if i do, i won't complain}, I just want myself to be the same lively person as i was before working night shift... that's all.

She's a HAM

I tried to avoid blogging too much of my girls, not because i am not proud of them but because i know their privacy is not quite protected here.

But since Baby M is way too cute to pass this on, i can't help it from blogging.

At 2 years and 4months:

She's 95% potty train - mostly at night she misses. They all say not to give a drink before going to bed and i think that's where the culprit is but how can you not give her one when this little button looks into your face and says "am thirsty mommy", how can you say no.

My greatest fan - everytime i do my Turbo Jam at home work out, she jams with me and tells me "Good job Mommy" every single time.

If you asked her if she's pretty, she'll answers you back "No, I am gorgeous"... courtesy of hubbys funny and feeble side, she trained Baby M of this line.

She loves toys like crazy... she points everything in the store, i want this and i want that.

She's the biggest imitator, so we better watch our mouth.

Safety is our big time priority right now... she can get into nooks and crooks fairly easily, like getting inside the cabinet under the sink or climb on top of the island in our kitchen just to pick the flowers in a vase, or just simply hide in our walk in pantry easily, while we're all gone crazy panicking looking for her.

Phew, give it another year and i am pretty sure there will be more on this list.

Ate L turns 6

I was induce {induction of labor} exactly six years ago from today related to IUGR {Intrauterine growth retardation} and oligohydramnios {low amniotic fluid}. The medical terminology sounds very hifalutin where in laymans term it just basically means baby's not growing appropriately in size and my amniotic fluid is simply low --- but those issues imposed me and my baby to be at highrisk. Thus, the decision to induce labor and proceed with delivery. Nine hours after labor hub and I had our first born in the name of "El..".

You are loved and cared about more often than you probably can guess, and thoughts of you just naturally bring smiles of happiness to our faces. Now, that it's your birthday, may each and every warm thought, love and caring, bring a wish for all the best in your life, and all your favorite things.

Hope you will grow to be a good girl, God fearing, and full of respect young lady.

Since my life schedule is hooked more on family and work recently... i haven't actively participating with online Flickr homeworks/assignment for awhile. To those who's not familiar with Flickr --- it's my one great resource when it comes to photography [since i really don't have any formal training --- self-taught is what they call it in photography].

Last week, i had the chance to participate in one of the group activities that i am a member: Female photographer group and luckily my photos were selected as weekly winner and earn a spot in their Hall of Fame 2010 --- back to back {week 39 and week 40}. I am thrilled and honored knowing that somebody/someone out there appreciated my work... makes you feel good isn't it? *gleaming with smile*

A Birthday and a Reptiles

A kids birthday party is always fun. Full of energy, with smiles from ear to ear, and absolutely heartwarming.

My weekend was spent with kids and reptiles {my niece birthday}... i don't know how many were the guest in counting {that includes the reptiles as well}, all i know was it's a huge crowd.
Despite the cold blooded reptiles as one of the highlighted event of the party, the shindig was definitely warm enough celebrated with friends, classmates, and families/relatives.

The Climb

Driving in a rainy and foggy early morning, turned the radio on and what's on the radio?... "The Climb" of Miley Cyrus.

I blurted out, "... that's me, that's definitely me".

Starting a new job isn't fun. It's like a dejavu ... the sensation of butterflies in your stomach 10 years ago is back.
Yes, I am excited but very nervous as well, very skeptical/full of doubts... Will I like my new work place? Will my future colleagues treat me nice? Will the work itself justify my love for my specialty? Can I deliver my skills effectively? Will I maintain my composure and won't get overwhelmed --- this unit I will be working is 4x more bed capacity of what i've been accustomed with?

I have to say it again, this is definitely a climb... a journey I am hoping to conquer and hurdle strongly. I need to battle myself out of my comfort zone, I can make a difference.
In your hands my Lord, I pray.

Superstar of the Week

Two days ago Ate L handed me this packet of papers with a letter from Mrs S {her Kindergarten teacher} addressed to hub and I stating that she was chosen as Superstar of the Week and needed few photos (3) of her to be posted in their special bulletin board.

I was overjoyed hearing the good news and very proud... but few seconds passed, i kinda woke up in a daze --- What, PHOTOS?!?! Which one??? A portrait one? A wacky or more formal poses? Can I just bring a scrapbook of her portfolio pictures? ... I halted and stop myself there for a moment {of course this is me talking to myself}, "Excuse me, this is needed for a school function not an art/photo competition".

*Sigh* ... I was frenzied not because of the above reason, I got carried away because this is one of my girls milestone and I want to make everything perfect as possible. A proud parent like me looks every single achievement of her child as an honor and I am sure you'll feel the same way.

A Stunning and Sparkling Discovery

We moved out here to change the bustling/festive/dazzling world of Vegas to a more family oriented community. After over a month, we terribly missed the usual kind of living we were in for a decade --- dining out every other night {fine dining almost every weekend}, discovering new pristine AAA+ hotels and resorts, and more partying actions/entertainment until dawn...

We thought we were totally out of the channel there for a second... that longing was cut short after discovering downtown San Diego. It may not completely compare to the bright and luxurious Vegas, but this was enough for us to feel we still belong in our era.

We end up playing outside for awhile with the girls despite the chilly and nippy air {there is a small area parklike in front of this scenery}. I guess that's why the girls got the drippy nose and annoying cough the next day {until now} *sad*.

Don't stop that Hopes and Wishes for 2010

Do you believe in new years resolution?
Let me rephrase the question, do you carry out new years resolution?

"I don't now."

It's not because i don't believe in it, it just sometimes it's very hard to keep up with it. Yes, you do have a resolution but one day something comes up along the way and your resolution seems forgotten. What i am trying to say is it's very difficult, and it's totally okay if things doesn't turn out as intended --- What matters most is you have tried and stood up and proceed to plan B.

Few decades back I am so nitpicky on things. I get so frustrated when things doesn't turn out well as plan --- i still do it until now though *sigh*, although this time i am trying my greatest to set up a good balance... literally I seriously am trying hard.
I have to, it gets so tiring everyday, especially when you get older... I physically feel it already.

So, what i do now every new year is build a plan for the year and just attempt my best to achieve this goals.

Here are some of my hopes and wishes for 2010:

Stable career as Labor and Delivery RN here in SD.
Maybe to get into some formal photography class or even just a short course of what's hip and new in my interest or pursuit.
My girls to be enrolled in an extra curricular activities of their liking.
To own Canon 50mm 1.4 glass/lens [i really wish for canon 85mm/1.2 or even just 50mm/1.2 but they are far within my budget].
A snugtop for hubbys truck.
To have that discipline to work-out/exercise at least 3x/week.
A weekend visit to my good old friends in Vegas.
To officially potty train Baby M early this year.
Keeping the faith to be able to visit family in the Philippines later this year [hopefully funds and work allows].
To keep my family safe and healthy all through out the year.

Portraits I Love

I've been a photography hobbyist/enthusiast for about 4-5years now, and out of those years playing with my canon gizmo, this year 2009 i discovered myself to be so in love with People Portraits.

Yes, there is something inside that perimeter that i behold in the individuals inner self. It's like painting their deepest living soul, it is another realm within oneselves that i can only see through the viewfinder.

This is me lifestyling... the other side behind the lens.

Is being rude habituated?
Do we just allow someone to insult you naturally?
Is being prejudice inherent?

The following questions above where our biggest perplexities the whole day today at DMV [Department of Motor Vehicle]. Yes, to wait in line for almost three hours is given in DMV... but to wait another three hours because their customer service/system didn't provide clear and concise instruction is formidably substandard. To treat you atrociously just to ask a clarification is unacceptable. Mistakenly slip the procedure because of wrong information doesn't mean your dumb... or is it just accustomed because of the color of your skin? ... Arrgggg!!!

If only we [hub and I] are non practicing citizen we have left the premises at once, but because things need to be done as a law abiding resident we have be patient. We have to endure the rising blood pressure we felt that day --- if not only for our two girls who were there waiting forbearing along with us [thanks for little game console], we've storm out and given up --- "WHO CARES?!?!?!". But because we don't want to waste another day, we need to get things done, beacause we don't want to see there wicked faces again, we carry on along and perpetuated...
Unfortunately, we have to comeback another day because there office is closing [of course] to finish up the processing. So that means, we will have another wonderful day with them *sigh*.

Just another day of ranting... pardon us.

Please give us enough strength to endure every individuals complexities Bro... we surely need it this time.

We started off as friends hanging out. We love to eat out - try different resto/gourmet and watch film flick in the big screen every weekend... we actually still do it until now, it became the family's pastime except the later part, we do it in the convenience of our home instead [kids makes your life change a little... maybe a little bit more].

We had a lot of ups and down from the beginning --- there is too many to reckon... From the theatrical pieces early on the relationship, which I thought seven years ago was the worst... that was nothing, that was literally just a piece of the icing in a cake.

I am not writing this entry to cipher the tempremental issues we've been through together... I am sure there will be more along the way. I am writing this note to say "Thank you"...

I Second the Motion on Winter

While i was reading friend J's blog i totally feel the same way.

When i was barely new in the land of milk and honey as what everyone says, I always am excited for winter to come. Be able to wear coats and sweaters of all kind with matching scarffs and winter gloves. But as years go by i started to dislike the season. My morning allergy gets worst, you are limited in your outdoor activities, your laundry is likely to double/triple it's normal load, and finally you have the tendency to be lazy, inactive, and feeling blue... i don't know why *sigh*.

Although the good side of wintertime is holiday cheers... my favorite time of the year - Christmas. Non-stop family gatherings, gift giving, and grandiose lights and sumptuous dinners...

Yes, our christmas tree and outdoor blow-up santa is up, gifts are wrapped [i despise holiday rush, so i always see to it it's done few weeks before christmas] --- under the tree [so far the girls are still good, nothing is still open yet the last time i notice], and christmas cards are sent. Indeed, I am ready to celebrate the holiday festivities.

Family and Beyond {the second time around}

We are getting into the winter season but mid noon the weather is at 70F here in San Diego --- the beach may not be crowded as compared during summer break but you can still witness majority of the locals enjoying the beach [sun bathing, surfing, etc]... that is one reason why we opted to move into this city. The weather is almost the same all year round.

I can see myself and the family jog/walk around, play frisbee, or just simply have lunch picnicking... what a great weekender plan.

My sister J and family came for a visit from Texas. We haven't seen them for over 2 years and I am proud to say they've pretty much adjusted to the US living. They started off in our place from the Philippines approximately 3 years ago and began to fly their wings on their own from then onwards.

Keep gliding and soaring high while maintaining those feet on the ground - it will keep you going.
Enjoy your family and may you be blessed with more outpouring love and tremendous affection.

Catching UP

There's a lot to catch up...

Need to send moving cards to friends and family.

Need to finish unpacking --- almost done and i am so excited.

Need to check/reply to my usual cyberspace site visits {emails, blogger, flickr, and FB} --- forgive me if i am not actively participating, I do read them though and I am slowly getting there.

Need to get back on taking care of the girls --- take part in Ate L's progress in school and seriously get back to Baby M's potty training... and i feel terribly guilty on this, she should be trained by now. She just happened to be caught in between the moving scenario that i can't keep up on it, {she still hit and missed on this thing}.

Need to get sometime to explore the beautiful place of San Diego... can't wait for the holiday coming, Ate L is off school for a week, that means family bonding time, yipeee!!!

And finally need to catch up on myself ... maybe some manicure?!?!? {my finger nails are all cracked, uneven, and ugly looking from packing and unpacking}. Anyone who can suggest a great place here in SD? I guess, i need a yellow page of some sort and start from there.

Holidays on Fast Track

I can't believe fall is here and winter is just around the corner. The gushing wind yesterday and the freezing weather today confirm indeed of the change of season. How did i missed it?

My family and I are overwhelmed with the ongoing moving scenario, that i didn't realize holidays are fast approaching.

1.) Halloween in couple of days --- thank goodness i have halloween costumes tuck away from last year that the girls haven't used... either they were big enough for them last year or was on discounted price that i can't pass on {i am big into price cut and markdowns, learn it very well when i had my girls}. My Ate L will be a fairy princess while my Baby M is going to be fluffy purple butterfly.
2.) Thanksgiving in the next three weeks.
3.) Christmas and New Year will be in couple of months.

I've already discuss it with the hub and the girls that we won't have the enormous decoration this year because of our current status... I feel like i am done putting stuff away into the boxes and in couple of weeks will be taking it out. We've wind up to just keep this years holiday simple yet will continue to let the spirit live within our household.

Baby M Two Years Already

It was a fun filled day for our baby M last saturday.

Yes, my baby turned 2 years old officially. I can't believe i was pretty calm with this party, either because i am immune hosting kids birthday parties {i normally get stress in occassion like this, i tend to perfect it --- i should be a party organizer that's what everyone says} or because of the current zealous moving circumstance, we've been hyped for awhile... we are just leveling out our stress zone.

Either or the party went alright... few guest didn't make it, the lady we hired for balloon twisting and facepainting went to the wrong location so she was pretty late for approximately 30mins from the call time, and because it was saturday the retaurant was fairly busy the owner was hurrying us up since they have more guest to seat in.

But to add it all up my baby M had fun, and i guess that's what matters... she passed out in her car seat on our way home.

Message to my Spring Valley Peeps

I hate goodbyes, so let me just do it in writings.

There are many people we meet in life, but few are special ... you guys are one of them. Thank you for being a great team player, a good friend, and for making me feel Spring Valley as my second home {special mention to my L&D and the whole women's services department staff}.

Knowing how busy my family and i this past few weeks that i've never said my appreciation, for the time it has gone unspoken... i just want to let you know that what you do never goes unnoticed and it's really appreciated. The things we share and the moments we spend together will become gifts that my heart won't ever forget. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The food last night was great by the way... thank you for stuffing extra pounds in me. Also, special thanks to the wonderful gifts {i honestly feel very special} --- Jill for the well said mug and address book {please fill it out for me i'll get it sometime this week}, Ginnie/Stacy/Deb for the very cute "very me" earring, and my Vicky for the beautiful friendship bracelet... those jewelries truly "Brighton" my day.

You'll all be missed *sniffles*.

Yes, hub and i resigned work already - we are in our last 2 days stretch at work.

Yes, we are in the middle of selling our house... [although it saddens us departing our home for almost 6 yrs.]

Yes, we are in the process of getting a new job - few options have been outline.

Yes, we are packing.

Yes, we are relocating.

Yes, we're leaving Vegas --- the first state we've lived since we migrated from the Philippines, the 24/7 night life, the breakfast at 1AM, the glittering lights of the strip, the wide selection of buffets and sit down dinners, the variety non-stop shows and concerts, and the prime extreme dry heat of the summer... [the later part, i don't think we're going to miss it].

Yes, our hearts are broken significantly leaving our friends that became our instant family who've been part and witness our genealogy grow this past decade [wow, that's how long we've been here i guess].

And yes, we are living our dream to raise our family in the place we've been calling home since we have visited the city, and revisited it every year.... And yes, we are scared starting this new chapter in our life --- but so very hoping you guys are going to be here/there helping us through this big change.

Another year has gone, i can't imagine with just a blink of an eye and you've grown another few inches and pounds more.

I can still vividly recall when you were born, you scream the loudest. You had chunky cheeks and thighs. You love to eat all the time, on the dot - every 2hrs, even during the waking hours. You seemed to have no patience, when you're wet you need to be change at once or else you'll scream again on top of your lungs --- wake the rest of the neighborhood during the wee hours. You soothe yourself to sleep at 1month old, just as long as you have your lullabye played, that was/is your cue. You are our adventurer, holds no fear --- you just barely learn to walk at 10months old, you're already ready to run. A little bit over a year old, you learn to sing and dance... then we realize you are our entertainer. You still have the stranger anxiety like a normal toddler but you warm up pretty quick, 20-30mins tops you're miss congeniality - back to your old self.

Now, that you're turning two in couple of weeks...
Dad, Mom, and Ate L would like to wish you well, good health, continue being smart, emerge as a great person in and out, and grow up to be God fearing fine young lady.

Getting into the daze of this bustling and hustling month, trying to finalize and get things organize for the big change. Extremely nervous but me and my family knows this is it, we can't turn back and alter our plan. We have to move on and keep that road open. In due time we are hoping to settle in and start a new beginning.

Best Inheritance

My girls are growing.
Just looking at their recent photos makes me stop and think what happen to my girls, they're not babies no more *sigh*.

Ate L
5 1/2 yrs old

She learns how to bike without training wheels.
Can read - first grade level.
Starting to reason out (this is not good).
Knows what she wants --- no more of the dollar store.
Can count up to 70.
Can write her full name - with the correct spelling and proper upper and lower casing.
Getting better telling her time - just get confused with the short and long hand sometimes.

Baby M
will be 2yrs old next month

She can communicate well --- sometimes just missing prepositions.
Our little miss congeniality once she's warmed up (loves to say hi to everyone).
Loves to stay in Ate L's school (she goes in line too along with Ate L's classmates).
Occassionally throws tantrums (as early as now, we have to cut it short --- i think she's starting to get the point though).
Totally no more bottles for her. Practice drinking on a regular cup.
Working on her potty training... some accidents at random.

Despite them growing this fast, they're still so sweet and love us to give them hugs and kisses.

When she's stuck in her high chair --- i can tell she wants to get off really bad... "Mommy, hug-hug-hug".

To all the daddies and mommies out there, do enjoy your children because they're not going to be this young as years ages. Give them the love, attention, and care they deserve --- despite our super hectic busy schedules. They need us to help them grow and become a better person... Just my two cents.

Baby M stands for Movie

My family and I were intrigue with the new movie that just came out and heard great reviews on it...
and indeed it's a very cute flick.

So, for the first time, hub and i had a movie date with our girls --- complete as a family watching a cinematic presentation in a theatre venue. I know my girls were very excited knowing that we haven't done this for awhile, at least 2yrs - since Baby M was born.
Yes, this is Baby M's first movie experience and we were so proud of her, at about 1month shy to be 2yrs old, she made it from start to finish and enjoyed the movie [she was literally giggling with us].

I can see this new found family diversion happening again, and are looking forward to it already =)
