How do you control privacy?

I have had a lot of invites to add them as my friend in my FB {facebook} and Twitter account. I always cringe everytime i receive one especially those i totally and honestly don't know... but by the time i hit the ignore button then i feel somewhat guilty since some of them just wanted to see my love in photography {i received personal messages} --- unless if I am just totally naive.

So, in lieu with the circumstance i added a fan page in my FB account {of course, i am new in this page so pardon me if i sometimes unable to update and give you new inputs}.

To all who have interest in my personal FB account: my apology if i tend to pick and choose such request, in my end i believe i control my own personal life privately.
